At Sparks Education, we are passionate about supporting home-educated children to thrive, grow in confidence and enjoy learning in a nurturing and engaging environment. This service provides a range of purposeful activities to enhance children's home learning experience, whilst building essential maths and English skills.

We are incredibly excited to launch our new Learning Lounge provision for children aged 5–13, based in Tunbridge Wells.

Our Current Groups

Small, nurturing groups led by qualified teachers — each designed around your child's needs and interests.

Ages 5–7 and 8–11

Learning Lounge

Led by an experienced teacher and SENCO, the Learning Lounge is a welcoming space designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and connection through high-quality learning experiences tailored to each child's needs. Each block of sessions provides a different theme to capture children's interests.

Ages 11–13

English and Drama Learning Lounge

Rooted in the National Curriculum while remaining flexible and responsive to individual learners, these small-group English and Drama sessions provide a welcoming, purposeful environment where students can thrive academically, socially and creatively. They are led by Ciara, a home educating parent who is a qualified secondary teacher specialising in drama and English.

Additional Needs

Support for Learners with SEND

We understand that every child learns differently and we are pleased to offer support for children with additional needs, including SEND. Whether you are looking for academic guidance, confidence-building or a flexible learning environment, we would love to discuss how we can help.

What we offer

Our home education sessions are available for children aged 5 to 16 and can be arranged on a flexible basis to fit around your family's schedule. Sessions take place in small groups of no more than 4 children, ensuring every child receives focused attention from a qualified teacher.

Maths & English Sessions

Structured weekly sessions covering the national curriculum in Maths and English, adapted to your child's current level and learning goals.

Flexible Scheduling

Sessions can be arranged on weekday mornings or afternoons to suit your home education timetable, with no requirement to follow school term dates.

Individual Learning Plans

We work with you to create a personalised plan that reflects your child's strengths, interests and areas for development.

Progress Reporting

Regular written updates keep you informed of your child's progress, with recommendations for home learning activities to complement sessions.

Social Learning

Small group sessions give home-educated children the opportunity to learn alongside peers, building confidence and collaborative skills.

Exam Preparation

For older children, we can provide targeted support for GCSEs, functional skills qualifications or other external examinations.
